I have read many of Yara Kaleemah books and like the others, another get book this sista wrote. She dealt with multiple personality, gay relationship and infidelity all wrapped up in one. In todays world we still deal with alot of these problems. This is a must read for real, cant wait to start part 2
This book threw me for a loop. At first I couldn't figure out why there were so many different people til it was revealed that Karen had multiple personalities. I was passed that Virginia didn't tell that it was Keyshawn that beat the scrap out of her. I am looking forward to the next installment with the gay brother. That was a twist that I didn't see coming. Loved it though.
This is a great book and it tells basically how people are just never satisfied with what they have. Karen worshipped the ground Keshawan walked on but that just wasnt enough. He just had to have someone on the side which ultimately caused pain and hurt to all parties involved. Virginia was just soooooooo stupid to me. I mean she knew she was the side chick and then to go to the school and approach a child ugh no!!!
This was an interesting read. I felt so sorry for Karen. I have not an ounce of pity or compassion for Virginia. A low down conniving tramp to approach a child with her nonsense. She got off scott free. It is tramps like her that cause murders. Yes, Keyshaun played a big part also, but to approach a child, Unforgivable. It was also unbelievable that a clearly disturbed person would not only stand trial but be found guilty. What were her lawyers thinking? All in all , a good read. Recommended.
Sooooo, I can only give this book a 3 star rating b/c....I was confused with the characters off and on throughout the entire book. I guess that's y the title is what it is I suppose but still it was a link too much....I don't really like the transitioning between "Karen" knowing about her husband & going ape shit...I mean there was not much build up to know why she went completely nuts, we didn't get to her too much about other women....well it was ok but I'm not dying to read part 2.....(sorry readers if I ruined anything for you, trust me it'll still be confusing) smh
This was a great read. KeShawn was the a cheating dog. Nothing justify that bad behavior. Karen wasn't all there either. Virginia fell for KeShawn charm but knowing he was married she should have kept in moving. She had no business bringing baby into the world. Karen choice as solution was not the right one. Because at the end she and her kids lost more. She should have just walked away from Keshawn but then her multiple personalities didnt know right from wrong.
I must take this moment and commend Ms Kaleemah on a job well done. The book was a nice change to the books that I have been reading lately. I enjoy Karen character in this book so much. When I finally put two and two together I was like alright now Ms Thang show out and she did. The other main character KeyShawn was just trifling. Your every day dog who to me at time just needed to go ahead with that I Love My Wife she is my everything. Yeah Okay!!!! And his brother Derek Oooooooooooooh!!! Lol Fake thug he really was. Who knew that these two world would actually collide. Lol. But, what really touch my heart and made me go that's right set his behind straight was when the oldest son confronts and call his father out on his wrongs and vow's to tell his mother what he knows. I just could have come through the book and Hug him. Let's not forget about Ms Virginia Trifling is what she was and how dare YOU go about delivering your news that way? You got what YOU deserve in my book. I'm hooping there is a part two to this book because I just feel that there is still so much to this story.
